There's still a lot of work left to be done on Cedar Point's roads. Ongoing maintenance (pothole filling, culvert repairs, etc.) will continue as long as funds hold out. We look forward to continuing the Road Improvement Project next year, let's hope costs remain stable so we can get as much done next year as we did this year.
Very soon we are going to have to use some of the Road Assessments to repair and repave our boat launches - they are important amenities in Cedar Point and they need a little love. We will also continue to focus on the roads that receive the most traffic and post the most risk.
Our Road Improvement Project continued in 2018 and thanks to all the property owners who made their payments by the due date, we were able to make a lot of progress on some of the worst roads in Cedar Point.
A special thank you to our President and Director of Maintenance for managing this project and squeezing the most out of every dollar - witness the great use of resources evidenced in widening a section of Plum Tree by repaving the four feet on each side. The center of the road was in good shape - why tear it up when only the sides needed repaving!
